Hi Allison! Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am originally from Edison, NJ, and I have been living in Bergen County for 13 and a half years.
How old are your kids?
I have four children. My oldests are 14-year-old twins (a boy and a girl), then I have a 12-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter.
What is your favorite thing to do with them?
One of my favorite things to do with my kids is simply hanging out together at the end of the day. I get into bed and they usually wander in, and we watch TV as a little group. Now that they are older and stay up around the same time as me, we actually enjoy a lot of the same shows and movies, which makes it really fun. I also love taking them to the beach, playing board games, and even convincing them to come on a hike. But those relaxed moments when they just want to be with me are my absolute favorite.
Are you involved in a business venture? Please share!
Yes. I am a pediatric physical therapist and the founder of Tots On Target, where I educate families about motor development on social media (@totsontarget). I also run a virtual membership called The Tot Spot that helps families support their babies through every major milestone from rolling to walking. Members receive self-paced courses and direct expert guidance to help their babies make quick and steady progress.
Why is this so important?
It gives families access to high quality support right from home. There is no evaluation process, no copays, no waiting lists, and no driving to appointments. Parents feel empowered to help their babies, and we consistently see very high success rates.
What sets you apart?
What makes the Tot Spot so different is that it gives parents a trusted, expert resource right at their fingertips. Because everything is virtual, families never have to worry about missing sessions when their baby is sick, when schedules get complicated, or when they simply cannot find a local provider who specializes in baby development. Parents who feel stuck or unsure of where to turn when their baby is falling behind finally have a clear path forward.
Parents are able to communicate with me directly and get support that is personalized to their own child. Families want to work with someone they trust, and my approach allows them to feel in control of their baby’s care rather than waiting for referrals or hoping to qualify for services. They get immediate guidance, ongoing access to expert information, and the reassurance that they are doing the right things for their baby at the right time.
Our success rate is incredible, and it comes from empowering parents with the tools, confidence, and answers they have been searching for. The Tot Spot helps families feel supported, informed, and truly connected throughout their baby’s developmental journey.
If you could give one tip to fellow moms, what would it be?
Be the strongest advocate you can be for your child. You are the one who knows them best and always has their best interests at heart.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I love eating vanilla icing mixed with whipped cream.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I am really grateful to the Bergen County moms who have supported me over the years. So many have welcomed me in, let me work with their babies, and even let them be part of my demo videos for Instagram or collaborations with brands like Stokke and Nike. I always joke that I have a whole bunch of babies I did not actually give birth to, and honestly it feels true. Their support and trust have meant so much to me and helped me get to where I am today.
