Meet Elda DeVilla, owner of Twin Monkey Playhouse.
Hi Elda! Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am originally from Mexico. I have lived in NYC and New Jersey for 16 years.
How old are your kids?
The twin monkeys, our twin daughters are 4, and our baby monkey son is 2 years old.
What is your favorite thing to do with your kids?
Family time is the most important to me… traveling and discovering new places, eating together and sharing little but extraordinary moments like story time.
Are you involved in a business venture? Please share!
My passion and love to make kids happy brought me over to this venture. I am the Founder of The Twin Mokey Playhouse and my vision was to create a happy place where children can build precious, and lasting memories.
Why is this so important?
Our kids are the inspiration to create a space that we can personally enjoy as a family. If we enjoy it, other families will enjoy it too!
What sets you apart?
Our indoor playground was uniquely designed and built from scratch, instead of a cookie cutter approach. We have incorporated our personal touches, and you will even find our family cultures in the details.
If you could give one tip to fellow moms, what would it be?
If you’ve got a dream, chase it, because the dream won’t chase you back.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I am a mom of 3, business owner, and people are always surprised that I have a full time job in NYC
I love traveling and new cultures, languages, I am very good driver, and I can run very fast 🙂
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The communities from the surrounding area have been extremely supportive. We have especially enjoyed getting to know the local families and supporting the businesses. We are looking into opening a second location very soon!
