Meet Barbie at Liberty Science Center

In August, every Saturday is “Barbie Day!” From now through Labor Day, Barbie herself will be at LSC as part of BARBIE™ You Can Be Anything: The Experience on Saturdays, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Barbie will meet and take photos with guests who visit the exhibition throughout the day.
The exhibition and the meet-and-greet are FREE with general admission. Make a plan to visit and get tickets now!
For decades, Barbie has shown girls that they have choices in life. This dynamic, interactive exhibition will help them explore the possibilities!
Throughout Barbie™ You Can Be Anything™: The Experience, guests will encounter role models from every era of Barbie history, and learn about the backgrounds, struggles, and accomplishments of their real-life counterparts.
In the exhibition’s five You Can Be Anything areas, families will be encouraged to try out activities associated with a wide variety of roles and careers. Each area will highlight a particular role type: Leader, Problem Solver, Creator, Nurturer, or Adventurer. Guests can step into each role to try it on and imagine a new career or calling!
As they explore, guests will see displays celebrating real-life role models that fill these roles at their jobs every day. They will also see displays of Barbie dolls that represent various career options.
LSC’s mission is to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers, and excite learners of all ages about the power, promise, and pure fun of science and technology. Barbie shows girls that anything is possible—and that includes pursuing STEM careers, of which women are significantly underrepresented. In this gallery, girls can envision themselves in roles such as doctor, pilot, veterinarian, archaeologist, robot coder, and more. This directly ties into our mission, and LSC is thrilled to welcome Barbie to the Science Center through the summer!
